Your frame comes with Clarity+ glazing. Although this material is more expensive than glass, it's used in your frame because it offers superior UV protection, is far safer and is beautifully clear.

Cabeza Patata

Cabeza Patata is the creation of illustrator and craftswoman, Katie Menzies, and 3D artist and animator, Abel Reverter. We care about diversity and female empowerment and we joined forces to create a world of playful yet strong characters, full of energy and positivity.

Tell us a fun fact about you We're both secretly massive Britney fans.

How did you get into illustration? At some point doodling turned into illustration.

Who or what inspires you the most? We love character illustrators like Spencer Gab, Seba Curi and the Get It Girl collective. They make it look so easy...

What does a typical day look like for you? We cycle from the top to the bottom of Barcelona to our studio by the beach where we spend about half our time working and the other half playing Virtual Reality.

What do you do when you have a creative block? The best thing to do is just start drawing something. It's always better to produce a 'bad' illustration than no illustration.

Top three clients you've worked with? Scouts, WWF and Water Aid. We love working for charities - we get to be part of a good cause, plus they're the friendliest clients!

What tools (digital or not!) do you use to create your work? It's true what they say... once you've gone digital you can't go back. We draw everything on the iPad Pro using Procreate and find it tricky going back to the real world, there’s no ctrl z!

What's your favourite resource for inspiration? Of course it's got to be Instagram. It's a mixture of daunting and inspiring seeing how many amazing illustrators are out there.

Do you have any tips for artists thinking of doing freelance? Make sure you keep producing personal work once you've started getting commercial work.

What would your dream project be? A trendy beer label!

How can fans keep up-to-date with your work? Instagram
