Anibal is a graphic designer specialising in typography, lettering and sign painting. He is a co-founder of @wearewoka, where he works hard creating letters for brands or advertising campaigns, you can find him in the studio, riding a bike or painting a mural.

Tell us a fun fact about you I'm on wheels for most of the day!

How did you get into illustration? Painting letters on the street.

Who or what inspires you the most? I'm obsessed with old signs, I go through cities looking at them.

What does a typical day look like for you? Bike, work, repeat.

What do you do when you have a creative block? Start again and look at it from another perspective.

Top three clients you've worked with? I like to work with big companies and my local bakery!

What tools (digital or not!) do you use to create your work? For four years I collected calligraphy tools, I always start with them (as I think they fit best with my ideas) then outline them in pencil and polish them up with digital tools on the computer.

What's your favourite resource for inspiration? Books and my sign file.

Do you have any tips for artists thinking of doing freelance? Define your style and show what you can do.

What would your dream project be? An advertising project in @wearewoka where we combine wall paintings and digital art.
